RMVX Ace has been released on CD in Japan. Esrever will begin working on a translation patch as soon as he receives the program. You can download the RMVX Ace RTP below:

It is January 16, and yet still no translation? I purchased this for $60usd from their site and I speak and read Japanese pretty well, but the fact remains I would like to use it in English. Any word of whether this will be released in the US like VX was? If it has been translated, please point me to the translation :-) thanks!

There isn't even a basic translation yet? the trial translation one was out a day or two after it was released.. its been like 2 or 3 weeks now since ace was released... I was finally able to buy it but I didn't know there wasn't and english patch for it yet

It's going to take a bit, since I'm sure the one translating also wants to play around with it -- Even the bit I translated for family members from America took a fair bit to do because there's a lot more to translate, i.e more pop up windows and the vocab etc.

Actually, I did. Just changed the trial patch to work with the full version. everything is in English besides the items and spells and stuff.

Well, you know, everything that was translated in the trial version. it at least lets people mess with the program a bit.

You can transfer maps over (after renaming them to map###.rvdata2), but the new tileset system kinda messes things up, lol. events still stay the same, however. :3

That's great news. =) I'm sure it'll mean a bit of tedious adjustment, but otherwise that's good news.

lol, well I translated this into english myself just to see Es's workload versus the trial version, and while it would be epic if he translates it to English for those who need it, it will take quite awhile, it took me a day just to translate the vocab and comments of major scripts to English for my cousin.

And by English something more accurate than direct translation since some of the translations can come out weird lol.

Looks interestings. Not sure how many already know this, but there's a custom character generator built into the game. You can edit and manipulate the generic characters to make a custom one. Also, the price is about 12,000 yen which currently converts to $150.00 US dollars. No I'm not saying that's going to be the US price or claiming that it's for sale in the US yet, so please don't jump on me for that.

The US price will be $90.00. RPG Maker Web recently confirmed that on their Facebook page. They also said a free mini-resource for VX Ace would be out in January.

I almost have an aversion to custom battle systems. I hate to say it, but in a lot of games I've played they're the equivalent to...well, t*rd polishing. That's not to say that there aren't games out there that don't have very good, very dynamic custom battle systems, but the majority of them I've seen use CBSs just to be able to say they use one. Anyway, rant over, but the way scripting is nowadays, your battles can be quite interesting without reinventing the wheel as far as what the battles look like.

There is no price for US Dollars. No timetable for translation for the umpteenth time and there is no discount for VX users. All of this info is in the forum.

i uploaded the music to a new project of RMVX just so i could listen to it...
the only thing i have to say to the music is WOW!!!!!! the music alone is worth the price, whatever it may be, to pay for the maker! At long last, a game maker with awesome music especially the battle music! just what i need to make my ultimate game! now i just need a script translated from RSS2 to RSS3. if u wanna know what script just send me an e-mail and i can send u the script. the script aint mine but im sure the owner would appreciate it being converted so he/she wouldnt have to do the work.

Just from my personal work in translation, a translation can happen very quickly if it's multiple people working on it, but I'd say give it a month minimum since the trial translation was done with those limitations in mind I'm sure -- Full version would need a separate translation done.

Though in experience translations of other RPG Makers came in quick succession but weren't always the most quality translations, so I'm sure you'll be waiting a fair bit for a full translation.

I understand, it's fascinating the translation of vx trial be done too fast, I don't know how he do to translate a software, but should be hard... is good have persons to do this... (xcuse my english, the little I know is for many years playing RPG games)

To be honest, I don't think so. But, I wouldn't doubt an announcement would be made early next year.

I just asked the Enterbrain sales team and they confirmed it will be out early next year (no date offered though).
